Question 1 of 1
1. Question
This is an exercise in multidisciplinary thinking. You need some paper and a pen.
- First, write 10 names of different domains or fields on the paper. These could be anything, like nursing, elementary schools, soccer, fashion, psychology, furniture design, physics etc.
- Second, make 3 pairs of the domain names that you wrote. Next, imagine a way to bring elements from both domains and create something new. Express the 3 ideas by drawing and writing.
- Third, take 3 domain names together into a trio. Imagine a way to create something, and using all 3 as a source of thinking. Express this idea, too, by drawing and writing.
A creativity tip: in this kind of exercise, you can benefit from first thinking about the task a little bit – and then taking a break and doing something completely different for a while. Like going for a walk, having a shower, or going out for the day, and then coming back to the task. This is called incubation, and it usually pays off. You can repeat it at each step of the exercise.
Write a max 200. word description of your experience with the real-life activity.
