In this exercise, you are an activist. Start by picking an issue that matters to you. Then consider what kind of systems it is part of. Design an intervention using the guidelines from the Donella Meadow’s list of efficient places to intervene, above.
For example, you could change the structure of something, such as the school system, or introduce a more organic, self-organizing way of doing things, or maybe design a communications campaign and try to change attitudes.
Draw what you decided to create, and describe your design below. Evaluate how much the system could change, considering its resilience, as well as possible ripple effects and whether they are positive or negative.
