To prepare for a transformational future, our ability to stay present with our senses and be sensitive to emerging visions is fundamental.
20 Minute Dance is an embodied practice. The goal is to practice noticing when your mind is lost in messy thoughts, and when you notice that, to bring it back to the present moment.
In this assignment, you are going to engage in this practice. First, get familiar with the instructions of the 20 Minute Dance tool crafted by u-school. You can decide if you want to do this exercise alone or in a group. You can also modify the exercise.
Now, do the dance!
After the practice, address these four questions:
- How did you feel in your body during the dance?
- What thoughts stood out to you during the dance?
- On a scale of 1 (not at all) to 5 (a lot), how likely are you to repeat this experience?
- What are the benefits you see for yourself from doing this special dance practice?
